Northern League Division Two   JARROW 4-2 BILLINGHAM TOWN   14/01/2023 Whittle (35), Mulvain (45), Salim (48), Talbot (67) | Braithwaite (60), Bird (66)   On a bitterly cold South Tyneside Winters afternoon Jarrow got back to winning ways and lifted themselves up into 14 th place in the league on goal difference.   After only a few minutes on the clock Jarrow almost made a dream start when they won a corner after some nice play from Nick Little found Luke Hudson in the area. Abu took the corner and it was recycled back to him on the right wing. Northern League Division Two Jarrow 2-1 Prudhoe YC Seniors Mulvain (8), Bone (16) | Scott (10) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zBHIdVu7Ri8   A decent crowd endured biting winter wind and rain to see Jarrow climb another place in Division 2 to 15 th and record 3 wins on the bounce.   Jarrow settled into their work quickly and despite the recent rain the pitch was holding up remarkably well. Some nice one touch passing from Berhan, Mulvain & Whittle in the middle of the park allowed Salim space to run into and was found well by Hudson but on this occasion however top goal scorer Salim was unable to keep his right foot effort down but the warning signs were there.   Salim then cut in from the left this time and fed James Talbot whose shot was tipped round the post for a corner. Northern League Division Two JARROW 4-0 WILLINGTON   Salim (46,54) Whittle (63) Hudson (65)   https://youtu.be/wNSXO-CbLLw   Jarrow went into this game on the back of a 7-game unbeaten run-in league and cup after a timely upturn in results and ultimately cruised to a comfortable victory after a dominant performance in front of a sizeable and boisterous crowd.   After 10 minutes Jarrow’s passing game finally clicked as neat footwork from Hudson released Salim down the right-hand side of the area but the tricky forward could only screw his left foot shot wide of the right-hand post.   Durham Cup 19/10/2022 – 7.30pm Kick Off Jarrow 1-1 Shotton Colliery (4-3p) Abubaker Salim (63)| Aaron Robertson (78) https://youtu.be/UIb6-Fa7NDM     Jarrow went into this cup game on the back of 10 days without a game and in the first it showed. Shotton on the other hand went into the game having won 6-0 only 4 days earlier and looked confident throughout.   The first Jarrow chance of the game came when Davey Smith fed Liam Mulvain down the right channel, Mulvain sharply crossed low and into the 6-yard box but the ball was cleared by the Shotton defender. Unfortunately for the Yakkas however it went straight back to Mully who nodded it back into the path of Dan Smith who tried to hook a shot goalward but he felt he was pushed in the process and the ball fell to ground where the keeper collected it comfortably.   Minutes later and a deep free kick was sent over and nodded down into the Jarrow half, despite appeals for a foul on the Jarrow man Sho...

  Northern League Division Two 05/10/2022 – 7.30pm Kick Off   Jarrow 1-0 Chester Le Street Town   Daniel Smith (8)| No scorer   https://youtu.be/pOnJbo-yI8E   Jarrow recorded back-to-back home wins for the first time this season to claim all 3 points on a frankly wet and miserable night on South Tyneside.   It took the home side only 8 minutes to lift the gloom brought on by the weather when a Salim cross was headed out by the Chester defence only for it to land on the boot of Dan Smith who struck it first time into the bottom corner.   Northern League Division Two 01/10/2022 - 3pm Kick Off   Newcastle Uni 2-1 Jarrow   Tom Romano (25) Tolu Osiyemi (60)| Callum Smith (63)   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s9c7tM0sD_4   On a fine October day Jarrow travelled to Prudhoe to face Newcastle Uni and ultimately fell short again as they look to kick start their difficult start to the season.   A scrappy opening to the game saw both defences very much on top with little or no goal mouth action until 10 minutes in when the Uni winger hit a speculative drive that Pickering did well to guide round the post for a corner.   After 17 minutes Salim had Jarrow’s first shot on goal when he cleverly beat his man and hit a left foot shot that the keeper managed to palm away to safety.   With 22 gone Uni should’ve opened the scoring.   Northern League Division Two 24/09/2022 - 3pm Kick Off   Esh Winning 1-0 Jarrow   Taylor (26)| No scorer   Jarrow went into the game at Esh Winning on the back of two encouraging performances in the league but we were ultimately unable to break down their opponents and the game was decided by a world class strike.   Jarrow however, almost took the lead on 9 minutes through an unlikely source. Nice football from Alex Thompson to release Tyrie down the right-hand side won the away side a throw in an advanced area of the pitch. Davey Smith then swung a cross to the back post where Thompson managed to nod the ball back into the path of Alex Bone who cleverly rolled the ball away from the defender but his shot went narrowly wide of the right post.   On 20 minutes Dan Smith drove forward and played in Alex Thompson who managed to slide the ball across the 6 yard box towards young winger Bradley Tyrie but thanks to great defending Tyrie was...
