Match Preview - Redcar Athletic   Wednesday night we travel to Teesside to face Redcar Athletic in what could be the last game any of us see for at least 4 weeks. Like Jarrow in their current guise Redcar are a relatively young club having been formed in 1993 yet the club have had incredible success in that time progressing through the Teesside league then into the Wearside League before being promoted to the Northern League for the first time in their history only 2 years ago. It didn’t take long for this classic cup tie to get going and after some nice passing football Dan Smith had an early effort saved well to the keepers right. Adam Priestley then went close for the Ammers with a delightful chip that hit the cross bar and was cleared to safety by the Jarrow defence. The Ammers were starting to stamp their authority on the game and set the tone as many expected them to with Luke Dean forcing a good save from Hubery in the Jarrow goal
