Northern League Division Two Jarrow 2-2 Newcastle Uni 16/02/2022 – 7.30pm Kick Off Glen Hargrave (73) Gary Shaw (94) | Keith Douglas (13) Teluwani Osiyemi (58) On a night where weather warnings were in place the hardy boys from Jarrow & Newcastle Uni braved the elements and played out an entertaining 2-2 draw in front of a decent crowd in the circumstances. The Uni who found themselves 4 th in the League and playing remarkably their 2 nd game of the day began the match by dominating much of the possession with both sides realising early on that playing any sort of high ball was entirely fruitless. Indeed, it was the Uni who had the first real chance, a turn and snap shot going just wide of the post after a neatly worked free kick. Then with 12 minutes on the clock some sloppy passing from Jarrow allowed Newcastle to advance down the right and after the ball was cut back nicely Douglas made no mistake with a neat finish.  Northern League Division Two Jarrow 1-2 Washington 12/02/2022 – 3pm Kick Off Luke Hudson (42) | Jack Hanson (47) Jake Martindale (50) (Jarrow Starting x11) Second bottom side Washington rocked a young Jarrow by coming from 1 nil down at half time to snatch all 3 points. In a game of many chances, it was the visitors who started the brighter, Jarrow keeper Steve Hubery racing off his line to block a one-on-one effort early on. On 10 minutes however the ever-willing Luke Hudson turned his full back inside and out before squaring to Channon whose shot went agonisingly wide. Moments later and Channon found himself in behind and with time and space could only fire straight at the Washy keeper who parried the ball out to Hudson. The awkward height of the rebound meant Luke could only fire over the bar. With almost half an hour gone Channon had yet another chance to break the deadlock.
