Northern League Division Two Jarrow FC 6-3 Sunderland West End 25/09/2021 3pm Kick Off North 3 (19, 24, 85) Shaw 2 (37, 71) Blackburn (50)  | Charlton (4) King (57) Moncur (59)   Jarrow went into this one on the back of 3 straight league defeats and found themselves in 10 th while Sunderland West End had won 4 on the belt and were flying high in 2 nd place. The game started slowly with both sides happy to conservatively knock the ball around. Then out of nothing after 4 minutes West End passed the forward with some intent and despite the ball looking like it was stuck under Lewis Charlton’s boot, he managed to loft it over Hubs and find the top corner to give Sunderland the lead and give the Jarrow fans that deflated feeling of going behind yet again. To their credit however Jarrow tried to hit back instantly but a Gary Shaw snapshot was well saved by Bussey in goal. Despite West Ends terrific start Summers & Donnelly were bossing the back line for Jarrow and comf

Jarrow FC 0-3 Heaton Stannington (22/09/2021 7.30pm Kick Off)

Northern League Division Two Jarrow FC 0-3 Heaton Stannington 22/09/2021 7.30pm Kick Off No Goal Scorer | Stephenson (16), Burn (36), Hopper (46) A season record attendance at Perth Green witnessed top of the table Heaton Stannington breeze past a Jarrow side low on confidence with work to do to put things right. It started well for the home side however and a left footed Glen Hargrave shot that went over the bar was a sign of the threat that Jarrow carry. Within a few minutes of that Jarrow threat however Heaton had settled into the game and started to get the ball down and play. A feature of both sides was the need to try and play good football and who wouldn’t on a surface like that. The pitch was playing like a carpet and perfect for passing football. The deadlock should’ve been broken on 7 minutes when a Gary Shaw corner to the back post was nodded just wide of the far post by Darryll Donnelly. Further signs of the quality on show. The game then entered a bit of a

Northern League Division Two Billingham Synthonia 3-0 Jarrow FC 15/09/2021 7.30pm Kick Off 27’ Howard, 33’ & 90 Howes | No Goal scorer Jarrow fell to a first defeat in 6 league games as they travelled to Teesside to face the current 2 nd placed side in Division Two in a difficult evening with some clinical finishing on show. The game started brightly for the visitors when a Glen Hargrave long throw was headed just over the bar by Kris Summers. Jarrow were defending well from the front with Jason Blackburn & Kris Allen attributing to a high press that had been successful for the previous 5 games. Despite that good start Synners never really looked in too much trouble and knocked the ball around comfortably themselves and started to add a threat to their growing possession, a defensive mix up after 24 minutes allowed the Synners forward to nip in and shoot but it was cleared by off the line by Darryll Donnelly playing in his 10 th game of the season. The warning sig

Jarrow FC 3 – 2 Redcar Town (08/09/2021 – 7.30pm Kick Off)

Northern League Division 2 08/09/2021 – 7.30pm Kick Off Jarrow FC 3 – 2 Redcar Town 14’, 82’ Blackburn, 26’ Shaw | 64’ Bennet, 68’ Webster Another hundred plus crowd saw Jarrow overcome newly promoted Redcar Town in a 5-goal appreciation of good football despite the England game being on at the same time! With both sides in form Redcar were looking for a 4 th win in 5 and Jarrow were aiming for a record 5 wins in 5 since joining the Northern League. While England were preparing to battle it out in Poland Ross Toward was firing just over the bar from 20 yards for Jarrow’s first chance after only a few minutes and the warning signs of a good game were there to be seen. Jarrow started the brighter and managed to get close to the Redcar players who were desperate to get the ball down and play, but Jarrow quite happy to close that space and not allow them any time to play. Jarrow settled nicely into the game and a Mcall effort that flew over bar was testament to their early e

This day in History...... Carlisle City 1-2 Jarrow

Saturday 7th September 2019 and the 54 seater coach pulled up in the car park of Perth Green on a sun kissed later summer morning. After the players and coaching staff had all loaded their gear onto the bus the next stop was the Red Hackle where the expectant Hackle Hacklers were waiting, chomping at the bit and excited for a longer away day than most they attend throughout the season. A little over 2 hours later, after the players had ran out of sports mixtures to throw at the bairns at the front of the bus and the Blue & Army were at the gates of Gilford Park, the players making their way to the changing room and the supporters flooding into the bar. The bar is where they stayed until kick off, the atmosphere noisy but friendly as everyone prepared for the kick off in their own way. Of the 86 recorded attendees on the day a large portion of that had travelled to north west from the north east and as everyone took their places for kick off the mood around the continued to be bri

Bedlington 0-3 Jarrow (04/09/2021 – 3pm Kick Off)

Northern League Division 2 04/09/2021 – 3pm Kick Off Bedlington 0-3 Jarrow No scorer | 54’ Hargrave, 84’, 93’ Blackburn   Jarrow came away with 3 points and as many goals from a game that was fairly evenly contested for over 80 minutes. Jarrow could’ve taken the lead as early as 2 minutes into the game when a Kris Allen header was blocked by the defence. Both sides were content to knock the ball around and not really take any chances going forward and that led to a midfield battle which at times didn’t look pretty. A near post Bedlington corner was then met and a powerfully directed header was acrobatically turned over the bar by Hubery in the Jarrow goal after 20 minutes. Moments later and Bedlington’s lively midfielder broke through the middle of the park and could only manage to poke his shot wide. A ball over the top towards Jason was then cleared by the keeper but only as far as Kris Allen, a first-time effort from distance bounced wide of the post and a competit
