Northern League Division Two Chester-Le-Street 1-4 Jarrow FC 26-03-2022 –3pm Kick Off Hepplewhite (55) | Hargrave (62 pen, 64) Robinson (70, 96) Starting x11 vs Chester-Le-Street   Jarrow travelled to Moor Park for the second time this season looking to banish the memories of losing the cup tie here on penalties last year.   It was the away side who started the brighter in the County Durham sunshine with Glen Hargrave having a hattrick of chances inside the first 10 minutes. The all action forward put 2 headers from similar corners wide and also had a left footed drive that went narrowly over the bar.   On eleven minutes with Jarrow defending a corner Joe Power lofted a fantastic ball over the top of the defence where Daniel Robinson picked up the ball and advanced towards goal, the full back however did well to force him wide left and he dragged his shot agonisingly wide.   After 17 minutes there came an unfortunate incident. Joe Ames and Luke...

Northern League Division Two Jarrow FC 4-1 Esh Winning 19/03/2022 – 3pm Kick Off Mulvain (50, 59) North (86) Bell (90) | McMahon (33 pen)     Jarrow got back to winning ways at home against Esh Winning on Saturday after falling behind at half time in front of a healthy crowd at Perth Green that included a Stag Do from Penrith!   Jarrow almost got off to a flyer when a Luke Hudson ball over the top was controlled well by Glen Hargrave only for the forward to be pulled down as he advanced towards goal. A free kick and a yellow card were given, the last man debate was ringing around Perth Green.   Esh had the next chance of the game in a fairly subdued half but Steve Hubery showed great reflexes to save low down from a point blank range.   With both sides struggling to create any clear cut chances Liam Mulvain tried to get Jarrow going and had a few speculative efforts that went just over the bar.   On 31 minutes however the second ...

Horden CW 4-2 Jarrow (12/03/2022 –3pm Kick Off)

Northern League Division Two Horden CW 4-2 Jarrow 12/03/2022 –3pm Kick Off   Home-Jackson (1), Wright (8), Maskell (62), Ellison (90) | North (22), Summers (78)   Jarrow went in search of another away win but came unstuck against a very good Horden side. Despite the good football however it was refereeing decisions that made the headlines during this excellent football match.   Horden struck first blood in the 1 st minute of the game as Home-Jackson was played in over the top and kept his cool by slotting the ball past Hubs in the Jarrow goal despite calls from defenders that he was offside.   Within a few minutes and Jarrow’s poor start was doubled. A slip from captain Wallace allowed Wright to nip in and round keeper Hubs to make it 2 after just 8 minutes. Jarrow had once again failed to start the game well and it was costing them dearly.   A Joran Reed ball over the top was then well controlled by Channon North and after rounding the ...

Northern League Division Two Durham City 0-4 Jarrow 20/02/2022 – 7.30pm Kick Off   No Scorer | Shaw (2, 31) Mulvain (15) Reed (90)   The game that had lingered since about mid September was finally played on a bitterly cold March evening at Willington.   Jarrow got themselves underway quickly when a Gary Shaw corner dipped over the head of the keeper and nestled itself in the back of the net after just two minutes.   The second came curtesy of another Shaw assist this time as his cross wasn’t dealt with by the keeper and Liam Mulvain was on hand to tap in the ball for his first Jarrow goal.   Jarrow were then relentless in their pressure after the second goal. A series of efforts on goal followed, one of which rattled the post before a lovely ball over the top by Brian Johnson split the defence open and Channon was able to deftly nod the ball into the path of Shaw who composed as ever checked back onto his left foot and slotted the ball h...

Northern League Division Two Jarrow FC 3-0 Bedlington Terriers 28/02/2022 – 3pm Kick Off Gary Shaw (54) Joe Ames (72) Channon North (81 pen)   | No Scorer On a fresh but sunny Saturday afternoon the South Tynesider’s of Jarrow completed their second league double of the season in clinal fashion with 3 second half goals at home to Bedlington Terriers. It was however the visitors who started the brighter but despite plenty of the ball in the opening exchanges they were unable to test James Lone in the Jarrow goal who was making his full debut for the Blue & White Army. The first good chance of the game though fell to Jarrow’s number 10 Channon North. A Luke Hudson though ball was sliced by the Bedlington defender into the path of North but he lacked conviction with the shot and the keeper gathered comfortably. On 28 minutes the deadlock was even closer to being broken. A lovely Crossfield ball from Joe Ames found Gary Shaw who won a corner. The resultant corner was ...
