With Warrington top of the North West counties Premier and Jarrow near the bottom of the Northern League division 2 the form book was firmly with the side from the North West but Jarrow, having knocked out higher tier opposition in the last round wouldn’t be knocked out without a fight.   Match Preview Jarrow v Warrington Rylands - Saturday 12 th December 2020 Warrington Rylands 1906 currently ply their trade in the North West Counties League Premier Division. For Jarrow supporters they will know two teams from the two split divisions below that. Steeton & Vauxhall Motors who we have played in the last two seasons and are in the North & South divisions respectively. They currently sit top of that division with an impressive 4 wins from 5 and are unbeaten, along with having played two fewer games than some of their closest rivals in the division. The Rylands recently received a massive boost to the club in the form of Wayne Rooney’s agent Paul Stretford who took over as Chairman and owner.   Match Preview - Redcar Athletic   Wednesday night we travel to Teesside to face Redcar Athletic in what could be the last game any of us see for at least 4 weeks. Like Jarrow in their current guise Redcar are a relatively young club having been formed in 1993 yet the club have had incredible success in that time progressing through the Teesside league then into the Wearside League before being promoted to the Northern League for the first time in their history only 2 years ago. In their first season in Division Two they managed an incredible 7th place finish, playing a brand of uncompromising but good football. They are an incredibly progressive club as evidenced by their rise through the leagues but also the way they do things off the field.   FA Vase 1 st Round Proper Jarrow FC 0-0 Yorkshire Amateur (Jarrow win 3-0 on pens) 30/10/2020 3pm Kick Off On a day that was billed ‘The biggest in Jarrow FC’s history’ the players certainly didn’t disappoint during a lively and high quality goalless draw with a side from one tier above in Yorkshire Amateur. With 9 players unavailable for selection for the home side Dan Smith slotted into midfield for his first start of the season and Steven Hubery made only his third start of the season and first in the cup. It didn’t take long for this classic cup tie to get going and after some nice passing football Dan Smith had an early effort saved well to the keepers right. Adam Priestley then went close for the Ammers with a delightful chip that hit the cross bar and was cleared to safety by the Jarrow defence. Jarrow For Away Fans - A  H andy Guide ​ First  thing you need to know is that our ground is roughly 2 miles from the town centre and on the Scotch Estate and we play at Perth Green. This has been our home  since The Club was formed , seeing us play at various levels  throughout the years  and  for the past few years in  The  Northern  League. We now have the facility to accept card payments for entry into the ground!! Directions Inverness Rd, Jarrow NE32 4AQ The ground is easy to get to both directions from the A19 Dual carriageway.  From the North you come off at Lindisfarne roundabout and head left towards South Shields. Then at the first roundabout take the third exit. Match Preview Jarrow v Yorkshire Amateur Saturday 31 st October 2020   Yorkshire Amateur are the latest side that will visit Perth Green In this seasons FA Vase campaign. Its 12 months and a few weeks since Jarrow bowed out of last years competition reaching the 1 st round proper for the first time in the club’s history. This season they will be looking to go one better if they can over come a side flying high in the tier above. The Ammers hail from Leeds and play their football in the Northern Counties East League which is the equivalent to our Northern League Division One. The Leeds team have already visited the north East once this season losing on Penalties to Crook Town in the FA cup in a mid-week fixture so they will be looking for revenge as the make the trip up the A1.
